Recently Brian had the chance to visit the Depot Street Brewing Company in Jonesborough, TN. It’s a small, family owned brewery that serves the “tri cities” area of East TN. Fortunately they allowed Brian to purchase a mixed 6 pack to bring back to Nashville. We tried 3 of their finest. Read on friends……read on

As we said in our initial blogging, challenge us to taste a beer and we will. We’d like to thank Diana for taking us up on that challenge. She suggested Xingu. We didn’t know how to pronounce it but Brian gave it his best shot. WATCH THIS:
Xingu is a black beer [...]

Picture this :: You’re sitting at your favorite Mexican Restaurant on a beautiful summer evening about to get your grub on (yes…we really just used that phrase) and the wonderful wait-staff person is rushing you to order a drink. So because you didn’t have a lot of time to think you reach for an old standard [...]

Beer #2 from Old World Leaf and Ale comes from Naked Lion Brewing Co. based in Memphis, TN (brewed in La Crosse, WI).
Josh wanted something he’d never tried before. When he saw the name “Copper Flask” and the description “sour mashed for character” he was sucked in. Sour mashing is a process used in whiskey [...]

The company we work for allows us to leave at 1:30pm on Fridays…for the entire summer. They call it “Summer Friday”. It’s a perk. We use the time to drink beer.
Old World Leaf and Ale in Maryland Farms (Brentwood) is a great place to try out new beers. Here’s your lesson for the day: [...]

OK ~ So you’ve all probably heard about this company InBev that purchased Anheuser Busch for 52 billion dollars. We weren’t going to blog about this because 1) It’s all over the place and people probably already know a lot more about it than we do and 2) It doesn’t really have a ton to [...]

Oh wait…that was Sandy. Yeah we didn’t think they would name a beer after Olivia Newton John
Sandy: Danny… is this the end?
Danny: Of course not; it’s only the beginning.
But…we digress…on to the bloggings!!
Josh is spending the week in Milwaukee, WI. He’ll be drinking classic beers from WI. First on tap: Leinenkugal’s Summer Shandy.
It’s possible that you’re [...]

Josh found this photo of his Grandpa outside an establishment in Milwaukee that served up the classic Schlitz Pilsner. The photo was taken right after WWII. Cool thing is, he’s still in uniform. This made us feel quite patriotic. So, in honor of Independence Day and those who have fought for our freedom, we share [...]

As you have most likely heard, New Belgium Brewery’s Fat Tire Ale has arrived in Nashville. We are beyond excited. On this 4th of July, we celebrate our independence from crappy beer by pouring ourselves a cold one! We also love the fact that the bottles say “Voluntarily Available in Tennessee” ~ this might be [...]

Beyond The Edge:
We’ve cruised over to the east side (East Side what!?!?) And we’re hanging out at Beyond The Edge, where it just happens to be 2 for 1 draft night!
Josh wanted to start with the Brown Nut ale ☺ but he quickly talked himself out of that after realizing he wasn’t craving something that [...]
